All Applications (APPS) available in the APPS universe are not always free and magnanimous like SKYPE or DRAGON DICTATION. Faculty and staff desiring a purchasable APP for their machine (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android) can request permission for that APP by completing an "Application (Apps) Request Form." QR Codes abound. We see them increasingly populating the labels of our products and our university walls, floors, and doors. SCAN allows users to access and unlock content embedded inside QR codes using the camera built into their iPhone or iPod Touch (see picture below).
