If you have declared teacher education as your major, if you are a transfer student, or if you have enrolled in an introduction to education course, you will need to purchase a required Apple laptop computer.
The recommended systems are available at Ball State University's Technology Store at discounted prices. The computers purchased at the Technology Store are bundled with Apple's three year extended hardware warranty that will protect your new laptop from mechanical failure for three years. This warranty also includes three years of phone support from Apple (1-800-APL-CARE). This warranty will NOT protect your machine against accidental damage caused by dropping, spilling liquids, or general mistreatment. You will need to purchase accidental damage insurance to protect against those kinds of damages.
The discounted price for the recommended system is available on campus at BSU's on-campus store, located in the Technology Center in Bracken Library and at the online Apple Store for Education.
Everyone is welcome to visit the iCare Corner, TC912, if you have questions about these computer packages, the repair process or support services offered on campus. Demonstration models are also available at the iCare Corner.
